Investment Strategy

Morningside Capital is a boutique real estate investment group focused on the sourcing, acquisition, and strategy execution of special situation real estate opportunities. Special situation opportunities are those where the investor΄s potential returns largely exceed the investment΄s inherent risk. We are currently targeting $5-$25 million investments to include:

  • Funding small balance (<$10 Million) mezzanine loans or preferred equity for sponsors
  • Funding GP co-invest capital to proven sponsors with an established track record
  • Acquisition of distressed real estate debt pools
  • Acquisition of real estate with special situation characteristics to include: off-market, distressed, shortened closing timeframe, environmental issues, or property/management rehabilitation

Morningside continually researches both the capital and property markets to identify mispriced risk allowing its investors to realize superior risk adjusted returns.
